Description: El catastro se concentra en la tipología de área verde correspondiente a parque urbano, que se diferencia de otras áreas verdes principalmente por su tamaño y por los servicios que entrega.Para este catastro se consideraráparque urbano como:“Área verde de uso público con mantención, ubicada al interior o contigua a los límites urbanos de una ciudad, la cual se caracteriza por la prestación de servicios sociales y ambientales en el territorio donde se emplaza”.Para mejor entendimiento, a continuación se explican algunos de los conceptos contenidos en la definición.Uso público Se refiere a acceso público, pagado o gratuito, ya sea de propiedad pública o privada.Con mantenciónSe refiere a que hay una entidad pública o privada a cargo de realizar labores de mantención, las cuales cómo mínimo deberán considerar el manejo de especies vegetales y el aseo del parque.Servicios socialesSon aquellos vinculados con el bienestar y calidad de vida de las personas, como por ejemplo la facilitación de espacios de encuentro y recreación.Servicios ambientalesSon aquellos vinculados al cuidado del medio ambiente, tales como: la moderación del efecto isla de calor, la mejora en las condiciones de ventilación, la captura de material particulado, la infiltración de aguas lluvia, el fomento de biodiversidad, entre otros.Dimensión de Parques Urbanos a catastrarSe catastrarán las áreas verdes que coincidan con la anterior definición de Parque Urbano y que tengan una superficie mayor a 5.000 m2 y un ancho mínimo de 20 metros.Podrán catastrarse parques lineales a partir de los 10 metros de ancho, siempre y cuando sean áreas verdes arboladas que contengan senderos y mobiliarios que posibiliten su uso por parte de la comunidad.
